MYP 4 Visit to VE Commercials Vehicles Ltd in Pithampur on 18 November 2017

Last Saturday, 18 November 2017, the Business Studies students of MYP 4 went for an educational visit to VE Commercials Vehicles Limited in Pithampur in Indore industrial area. The purpose of this visit was to enhance students' knowledge about the use of technology in the production process.


VE Commercials Vehicles Limited is almost entirely automated. The computers monitor the production process and control robots on the factory floor. The students were amazed to see the use of automation, robotics and computer-aided manufacturing [CAD/CAM] techniques.



The students observed the production line controlled by the robots that spot -weld the truck cabins together and the robot that spray paints these truck cabins. At the plant, our students were able to make the connection with their previous learning topics such as the organisational chart, safety and healthy environment as motivation, on-the-job training ...



The visit was a provocation activity for the Operations Management Unit. The students showed their curiosity by asking various questions from VE Commercial workshop Captains. It was a great learning experience for all of us. We are thankful to our CI Alumni Parent Mr Rajesh Patidar for supporting us in organizing this visit and making it happen.

  Building effective parent-teacher partnership  An orientation session was conducted for the parents and students on Saturday, 7th August 2021. The purpose of this orientation was to enlighten the parents and keep them informed about the intricate details of the MYP Assessment procedure and the IB way of the teaching-learning process. IDL Session in MYP 1

   ‘Dead Men Do Tell Tales’.- William R. Maples Interdisciplinary education allows students to see different perspectives and work in groups with the synthesis of disciplines the ultimate goal. Choithram International took an initiative to celebrate IDL week by indulging in Interdisciplinary Teaching Learning activities. CI teachers decided to take teaching a step further by connecting their ongoing topics with other disciplines. This would help students to understand why they are learning a particular topic and how they can apply their knowledge gained in real life.  Ongoing topic ‘Skeletal System’ in MYP 1 Biology was connected with Forensics wherein students got to know that the skeleton speaks a lot about the gender and age of the deceased and also the reason of the death of a person. Achievements of MYP Learners in Silver Zone Olympiads 2016-17

Achievements of students of Choithram International in Silver Zone Olympiads are worth our appreciation. The Silver Zone International Talent Hunt Olympiad was conducted on 12th January 2017. Achievers of this exam include the following students: Akshat Shahjade MYP 1 scored 95.17 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded with gold medal. Sarthak Rathi of MYP1 has secured school rank 2nd and received the Silver medal Venkat Suprabath Bitra from MYP 5 has scored 72.7 % and secured 1st rank. He was awarded with Gold medal. Silver Zone International French Olympiad was conducted on 15 Dec. 2016. Achievers of this exam are the following students: Akshat Shahjade of MYP 1 (class VI) scored 97.73 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded the Gold medal.
