Service as Action

Our School organized a ‘Service as Action’ induction session for all the MYP 1 students. The purpose of the event was to make new MYP learners aware of the service program. They were informed about service learning out comes, forms and reflections. Self-initiated, school initiated and curriculum linked service activities were also discussed with the students. They took part in the discussion with great enthusiasm, thus making the session very interactive.  

Creative Writing Competition

Pearls of words on paper Young writers of MYP wing spread beautiful words on paper in the Inter – House Creative Writing Competition organized on July 26, 2018. The students expressed their views on varied topics and also illustrated them on colored sheets. Their work was highly laudable as they organized the ideas well and also enriched their text with new vocabulary learnt. The students wrote wonderful articles that showed their interest and flair for writing. This activity aided the students to enhance their creative writing and communication skills.  

MYP 3 visited Maharshi Vidya Mandir

The learners of MYP 3 visited Maharshi Vidya Mandir, Rau on 21st July, 2018 as a part of their Service project of E-Waste and Plastic Management. They gave demonstration through songs, interactive discussions, an informative skit, presentation on appropriate waste management and the adverse effects of inappropriate waste disposal. They also focused on suggesting appropriate methods of proper waste disposal. The authorities guided students how they can carry forward this project in their school.  

Dell Champs Quiz Challenge

A wonderful technology based quiz contest Dell Champs “Dell Champs Quiz Challenge” provides an opportunity to students to involve their parents. Parent and student work in collaboration and compete with other teams. School level of the contest organized by Dell was held at Choithram International on 21st July 2018. 15 teams, consisting of students and their parents from MYP 1 to MYP 4, participated at the school level, which included written preliminary round, based on whic h 7 teams qualified. There was a tie between 5 teams in this round. However, 6 teams went ahead to the final round. The final round consisted of three parts: visual, connectivity and audiovisual rounds; with all the six qualifying teams participating with full enthusiasm and display of knowledge, in the best possible manner. Again there was a tie between the final 2 teams for 1st and second position. Avani Vaidya from MYP 2 bagged the first prize and the first runner up was Manan Premchandani from MYP 2, seco...

A visit to Anubhuti Seva Sansthan - a school for special children

The students of MYP 1 visited Anubhuti Seva Sansthan , an organization for physically and mentally challenged children, where they interacted with special children. They presented a song for them as a token of love. They also learnt their code language and Braille Band (language for blind children to read and write). Anubhuti Seva Sansthan’s children also presented a welcome song for the students. The school students asked them about their requirements and planned to fulfill their needs as per their convenience.

Assembly By MYP 5B

The students of MYP 5B presented their assembly very enthusiastically on ‘Guru Purnima and Nelson Mandela’. The students amazed the audience with various stunning presentations. The assembly began with the school prayer followed by a thought and news. Assembly highlighted the importance of ‘GURU’ in students' life. A soulful musical performance presented by the students mesmerised the audience, followed by a lively dance performance dedicated to the teachers. The assembly concluded with some important announcements by the MYP coordinator.    

‘Bastille Day’ celebrated with great vigor!

Choithram International, by maintaining its tradition presented the mega event, ‘Le jour de Bastille’ or ‘Bastille Day’ on 13th July with full gusto and the spirit of international mindedness, a vital IB value and offered its tribute to the national day of France! With this it also honored the values of democracy. All the performances demonstrated great amount of hard work, collaboration, cheerfulness and confidence of the students as they presented various aspects of the French culture.
