Be the change to see the change

It is worth said that change is the only perennial phenomenon in the world. Everything cannot change with the blink of an eye and hence small steps would surely bring about a great change. Research Skills are one of the ATL Skills which play a prominent role in our lives. To elaborate on 'Enhancing and Understanding' the Research Skills, the students of MYP 3 and 4 presented a skit on Monday, October 21,2019 to inculcate academic honesty in the audience and alarmed them about the ill-effects of plagiarism in personal and professional life. It was a wonderful inquiry session that involved maximum participation of the junior classes and the participants urged them to take steps to avoid the monster and promote authenticity. The session culminated with eagerness to witness many more sessions like this in future.

Prepare and perform better

It is rightly said that parent involvement is the number one predictor of early literacy success of a child. Parents are the strongest pillars in a child’s life and hence they should be vigilant about their ward’s academics. To acquaint the parents for the ensuing term end examination procedure, there was a parent orientation organized on Saturday, October 19, 2019 to apprise them about the examination pattern along with the marking schemes for different subjects. The students have been under the learning process since past four months and it was the perfect time for them as well as their parents to get an overview of the investigation process so that the expected outcome would be achieved. The session was fruitful and it sufficed the parents’ and students’ queries for the purpose.

Vivacious manifestation of endowment

“Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way” – Booker T. Washington There is a spark in every child and the only requisite is its recognition. With a vibrant assembly, the learners of MYP 1 A came up with flying colors in an array of events on Thursday, October 17, 2019 that brought forth their flair for performing various acts. The centerpiece of the whole event was 100% participation of the students who participated in one or the other acts. The assembly was based on significance of food and curbing its wastage on account of ‘World Food Day’. The high-spiritedness of the learners was evident in all the acts ranging from the News Wizard quiz, an enlightening dance – drama, an energetic rap song, an instrumental presentation to a short movie on ‘Prominence of Food’. A healthy outside starts from inside

It is rightly said, “Today’s wastage is tomorrow’s shortage”. God has bestowed many blessings on humans with all the inevitabilities including the natural resources and it’s the need of the hour to recognize their significance and endeavor to conserve them. Food, which is one of the major sources of man’s survival, is even considered as God but its prominence is fading away with the advancement in different spheres of life. To enlighten th e youth with the reputation and conservation of food, the students of MYP 1, 2 and 3, under the Green School Project, took a step forward and offered their contribution in the form of a poem presentation along with the demonstration of transforming the edible trash to manure through a compost pit in the school on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 and alarmed every one with the serious issues related to it. They urged everyone to utilize the resources judiciously so that posterity could survive with sufficient possibilities. ...

Talented artisans transforming trash to treasure

Creativity is an innate virtue of children as they are the store houses of unlimited potential. Nothing can stop their ingenuity if they start innovating and bringing out something novel. Proving their mettle, the students of MYP participated in a GSP fair organized in the premises on Thursday, October 10, 2019 and spread the awareness on 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) by putting up a wonderful display of 'Best out of waste'. Their zeal and spontaneity was unmatched through out the show and their efforts were laudable. They created fabulous products out of waste and set an example for all to utilize everything to its best. The treasure that emerged from waste was really enticing and won everyone's heart.
