Guest Lecture Against Drug Abuse for MYP5 Learners on 7 July 2017

The MYP5 learners attended a Guest Lecture by Ms Wama Ojha, the MYP-DP Chemistry faculty of CI, in connection with their English Language and Literature curriculum.

The first text that the learners will study is ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ that was written and published during the Victorian era. The learners will be conducting a service – an awareness drive against drug abuse. This service, targeted at school and college youths in Indore, will be for this unit and for a period of 3 months.

The talk helped the learners connect with developments in the field of Chemistry and the prevalent use of drugs which was acceptable in the Victorian era, as well as how its overuse in today's context is considered abuse. The learners responded enthusiastically to the questions posed by the speaker throughout the session.
