Guest lectures on William Shakespeare for MYP students on 11 July 2017

Believing in exploration beyond texts and curriculum, opportunities are generated for the students of CI to gain from the experiences of experts, in the form of guest lectures that are organized for different subjects. On similar lines, guest lectures were organized on 11 July 2017 for the students of MYP2 and MYP3.

The lectures were based on the life and creativity of William Shakespeare. Mr. Surendra Singh Chouhan, an erudite eminent senior faculty of CI, apprised the students of the craftsmanship of the great bard. He stated that Shakespeare gave a special dimension to English language and literature.

The sessions taken by him will aid the students in their ongoing Units of English Language and Literature containing the plays ‘The Tempest’ for MYP2 and ‘The Merchant of Venice’ for MYP3. The young learners not only gained knowledge about the essence of Shakespeare’s life and his lifetime’s work, but the talk also etched the guidelines for attaining the curricular objectives, in their young minds.
