Fenugreek (methi) cultivation in school herbal garden

“As you sow, so shall you reap.” This famous proverb held true as our students of MYP 3 began their mission to convert a part of the barren land within our school campus into a herbal garden.

The students prepared the land and sowed fenugreek (methi) seeds on 1 July 2017. They prepared the seed bed using school compost which is being produced from the school kitchen waste.

Their hard work paid off when the entire cultivated land filled with fenugreek plants which they picked, cleaned and handed over to the school kitchen. The next day, the students, teacher and other staff members savoured hot ‘methi paranthas’ prepared from the fenugreek (methi) collected from the herbal garden.

The students beamed with happiness to see the result of their hard work being enjoyed by everyone.
