Wildlife Intra-school Level Quiz competition organised by Indore Zoo

Wildlife is an important part of our environment. In order to promote awareness and educate students about wildlife conservation, an ‘Inter-School Wildlife Quiz’ was organized by Indore Zoo, ARPF, Tupperware, 92.7 BIG FM and Indore Municipal Corporation.


The intra-school level quiz competition was organized today at Choithram International. The questions in the quiz were related to important environment days/places/years, famous international/national conservation organizations, state birds/animals, animal facts, scientific names of animals and birds, nature/animal movies and characters, animal-bird calls/songs/voice, wildlife sanctuaries etc.

18 students from MYP 2, 3, 4 and 5, in the form of 6 teams, participated in this quiz contest. Through 6 rounds of the quiz, one team was selected for the inter-school level competition. The winning team comprised Rajwardhan Sisodia (MYP 5), Sanskar Patidar (MYP 3) and Shaaranya Garg (MYP 2). These students will represent Choithram International in the Inter-school Wildlife Quiz competition.


There was much jubilation within the winning team. All the students enjoyed the quiz competition. Some questions were fielded by the audience, so several students won ‘Zoo Snooze’ passes. The event was very interesting and motivated our students to learn more about wildlife.

Interdisciplinary Learning and International Mindedness through Case Studies in Chemistry

In a case study, students not only learn to identify the problem but also propose solutions and explain the social, economic, geographical implications of the study being undertaken. This can be a very good teaching pedagogy for development of criterion D in sciences which reflects on the impact of sciences with regard to a proposed problem. Our students of Grade 9 Chemistry were provided with a case study on the problem ‘Life and condition of people involved in emerald mining in India and Brazil’. MYP Student Reflections on International Dot Day

1. Eishita Dhanwani (MYP 4) Our school decided to celebrate the international dot day by organising a competition. I personally think that is a wonderful way to celebrate an important event that even I was unaware about until the competition was announced. At first, when it was announced, most of us started panicking. We all scattered around the class in order to find the required supplies. Charts, sketch pens, crayons and a ton of other items were assembled on the tables. We all decided to make groups in order to share creative ideas and come up with something really creative and time saving. Our class was in chaos. Some were seriously doing their work. Our class did come up with splendid products. It was really creative and each of them were personalised which made them very special.
