MYP 3A Assembly on 16 November 2017
“There is nothing
either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
– William Shakespeare
Today, our MYP 3A presented a fantabulous assembly on
Philosophy, Diabetes and Children's Day. The assembly commenced by connecting
the audience with the Divine. After that, they moved on to a motivational and
inspirational thought.
Next, the happenings around the world were shared with
the audience. It was followed by an informative video on philosophy. The video
consisted of many facts about famous philosophers. At this stage, the audience
learnt how to be inquirers, connecting back to the learner profiles.
Then, a truly mesmerising song was sung, which was about
the purity of a child's heart. After that melodious moment, another video was
presented, on the topic of diabetes. The video expressed the significance of
keeping yourself healthy, and how to prevent diabetes.
Subsequently, an energetic dance was performed by a group
of three students. The dance was on a mashup of songs which expressed the life
of a student.
Following that was a euphonic orchestra performance,
which filled the audience's heart with zeal. Last but not least, the assembly
culminated with a short slideshow, which expressed the delight students gained
from the trip to Maheshwar. This showed development in the learner profile,
reflective.
During this assembly, both the presenters and audience
enjoyed and developed many ATL skills such as communication skills as well as
IB Learner Profiles.
