Site Visit by Promoters and Delegates of Choithram Group

Today was a hallmark day for Choithram International as the promoters of the group with team of delegates paid visit to the school premise .
Learner's of Middle Year Programme got opportunity to present plethora of projects the school has undertaken within school and as service to the community.




Choithram International has been successful running Green school Programme in association with Centre for Science and Environment New Delhi handholding around 12 schools in Indore. Delegates were shown various low cost waste- Management sites in the premise like drip irrigation, food composter, rain water harvesting , herbal Garden etc-
It was of great interest to see learner's presenting carbon footprint reports with Mitigation actions taken.
Guests were briefed about various Awards and Associations like Green School Award by Centre for Science and Environment Delhi, Algore Climate Reality Project Certifications, Google Education Group Certifications, Associations with M.P Pollution Control Board, Indore Municipal Corporation for Street events on Environment, State authorised e-waste recycler etc-

Differential teaching learning Model based on Howard Gardener Model was also presented . Guests were mesmerised to learn about Virtual Learning Classrooms through Google Cardboards. They also showed keen interest in various investigatory projects school had undertaken to find out adulteration in food, milk, lipsticks and analysis of cold drinks. 


Learner's were applauded for their work towards community and presentation skills.

Interdisciplinary Learning and International Mindedness through Case Studies in Chemistry

by Jalpa Shreyas Shah A case study is a good example of problem-based learning which involves in-depth study of the problem through research and data collection. In a case study, students not only learn to identify the problem but also propose solutions and explain the social, economic, geographical implications of the study being undertaken. This can be a very good teaching pedagogy for development of criterion D in sciences which reflects on the impact of sciences with regard to a proposed problem. Our students of Grade 9 Chemistry were provided with a case study on the problem ‘Life and condition of people involved in emerald mining in India and Brazil’. The case study was based on their unit in Chemistry titled Extraction of Metals. The students were given the abstract on Gemstone industries in both countries and details of emerald mining. MYP Student Reflections on International Dot Day

1. Eishita Dhanwani (MYP 4) Our school decided to celebrate the international dot day by organising a competition. I personally think that is a wonderful way to celebrate an important event that even I was unaware about until the competition was announced. At first, when it was announced, most of us started panicking. We all scattered around the class in order to find the required supplies. Charts, sketch pens, crayons and a ton of other items were assembled on the tables. We all decided to make groups in order to share creative ideas and come up with something really creative and time saving. Our class was in chaos. Some were seriously doing their work. Our class did come up with splendid products. It was really creative and each of them were personalised which made them very special.
