Reflection by Yajvin Puetz of MYP 2A :
We had a guest lecture by the general manager of Radisson, who thoroughly explained tangible and intangible resources, the difference between Software and Hardware, and what the service industry is all about, in terms of the perspective of a hotel. He spoke about skills required generally in the tertiary sector, and also certain skills required as a human being. He differentiated between honesty and integrity and their importance in our life. He also spoke about the difference between hearing something, and listening to something.  He not only spoke about good communication and preventability but also  also practically showed them. He explained the importance of how one thinks of himself, and why is it important to be presentable, not only to others but mainly also to ourselves. He also explained in his scenario how they are dealing with nearby arising competition for their business and how is their business growing. He took the example of the hotel Marriot being opened nearby. The guest lecture was extremely informative and interactive he entertained all our questions and was very detailed in explanation, I enjoyed it a lot.

Reflection by Viveka joshi of MYP 2A :
Today we had a guest lecture on our unit related to globalization, advancements in the technology and how different sectors are important and how are they necessary. It was a very interactive and informative session and we learned a lot of things in that guest lecture. Sir told us about his own job experience and he explained the importance of different sectors on their hotel or hotel industries,   and how price rise or any issues related to a particular country affects the hotel industries in terms of tourist traffic or tourist. He shared his real-life experience with us and told us about the tertiary sector and the service which is been done in his own hotel. In the end of the session we had a question answer session in which we cleared all our doubts. I would like to thank the teachers and Sir Rahul Joshi to give us such a good session and share his experience with us. The profiles, which we developed, were communication skills and social skills while discussing during the presentation and during  the question answer session.
