Theatre was created to tell the truth about life.” - Stella Adler
On the World Theatre Day, the MYP students of Choithram
International participated in the “72 Hour Film Festival” held at
“Prestige Institute of Management and Research”.
When we were briefed about this short filmmaking competition a couple of days back, we decided to embrace this exhilarating challenge and divided ourselves into two groups. After which, we had intense brainstorming sessions resulting in the creation of two movies - “Vishwas” and “Prabhat” - in three days, with intriguing plots having interesting twists and turns.

As we got to know that our movies will be screened, our exuberance knew
no bounds. On the day of the screening, we reached the venue very
elated and excited. In fact, it was enthralling to watch the movies
created by various participating colleges and also a moment of pride
when our movies were screened.
The movies garnered a lot of appreciation from the audience and the jury members. We were applauded for our engaging plot, exemplary performances, and nifty lens work. Special Appreciation trophies were conferred on us for both the movies.
Over there, we met a film producer and writer, Nikhil Taneja, who was happy to compliment and motivate us by sharing his experiences of filmmaking with us. He also understood how challenging it had been for us to make a film and compete against varied college teams. We were appreciated for putting up a show that mesmerized him. He also took us to the studio at the complex where we were explained how a professional team producing a film yields fine masterpieces.
This opportunity gave us a platform to let our dreams fly and explore our latent talents. It was a great learning experience coupled with amusement and exposure to the world of theatre.
