“A new day, a new beginning.”

The first assembly of the session 2018 – 19 started with great zeal as it was out and out conducted by the MYP teachers. The volunteers from the Ramkrishna mission also joined to help students overcome stress by practising meditation and have a relaxed mind and body. The school prayer and the prayer song were sung by the teachers to have a blissful beginning of the day. The teachers voluntarily shared thoughts and updated the students about the happenings in and around the world. They also motivated the students by reciting poems and narrating inspirational stories to be industrious and confident. The students donned the thinking caps while answering the quiz based upon idioms and riddles. Some melodious songs were presented by the teachers along with an energetic dance performance that filled the students with cheer.
The Principal addressed the assembly and shared his words of wisdom that included importance of discipline and being focused. He also declared Mr. Chouhan as the Head of Senior School. The assembly culminated with the distribution of SOF certificates and awards by the MYP coordinator, with the special recognition for the winners of ‘ShakeMeUp’ film festival, followed by the national anthem.

  Building effective parent-teacher partnership  An orientation session was conducted for the parents and students on Saturday, 7th August 2021. The purpose of this orientation was to enlighten the parents and keep them informed about the intricate details of the MYP Assessment procedure and the IB way of the teaching-learning process. The session included orientation on 'Celebration of learning' in the form of IDL (Interdisciplinary learning). Whereby the parents were apprised about the scope for transfer of learning from the boundaries of one subject to the other subjects and to real life as well.  Parents were also updated about the SEL program which can help students better understand and identify their emotions; develop empathy, increase self-control and manage stress. IDL Session in MYP 1

   ‘Dead Men Do Tell Tales’.- William R. Maples Interdisciplinary education allows students to see different perspectives and work in groups with the synthesis of disciplines the ultimate goal. Choithram International took an initiative to celebrate IDL week by indulging in Interdisciplinary Teaching Learning activities. CI teachers decided to take teaching a step further by connecting their ongoing topics with other disciplines. This would help students to understand why they are learning a particular topic and how they can apply their knowledge gained in real life.  Ongoing topic ‘Skeletal System’ in MYP 1 Biology was connected with Forensics wherein students got to know that the skeleton speaks a lot about the gender and age of the deceased and also the reason of the death of a person. Achievements of MYP Learners in Silver Zone Olympiads 2016-17

Achievements of students of Choithram International in Silver Zone Olympiads are worth our appreciation. The Silver Zone International Talent Hunt Olympiad was conducted on 12th January 2017. Achievers of this exam include the following students: Akshat Shahjade MYP 1 scored 95.17 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded with gold medal. Sarthak Rathi of MYP1 has secured school rank 2nd and received the Silver medal Venkat Suprabath Bitra from MYP 5 has scored 72.7 % and secured 1st rank. He was awarded with Gold medal. Silver Zone International French Olympiad was conducted on 15 Dec. 2016. Achievers of this exam are the following students: Akshat Shahjade of MYP 1 (class VI) scored 97.73 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded the Gold medal.
