Assembly on World Population Day

On 12th July'18, MYP5A students presented their first class-assembly of the new academic session.
The assembly centered rounds the theme ‘World Population Day’. It was initiated with the prayer to invoke the divine blessings. There was the news of the week covering all the important news items of the week.
The quiz on the World Population Day was effectively conducted and all the participants were felicitated with sweets and pens. The video presentation gave an alarming message regarding the increasing rate of population of certain countries of the world. The assembly rightly did justice to the global context: Globalization & sustainability.
A poem in Hindi, rich in message, based on the theme left everyone pondering on the issue.
This was followed by a vibrant dance performance representing the evils of the overpopulation. It was presented with full enthusiasm and co-ordination.
The assembly concluded with the homage to nation in the form of the national anthem.

  Building effective parent-teacher partnership  An orientation session was conducted for the parents and students on Saturday, 7th August 2021. The purpose of this orientation was to enlighten the parents and keep them informed about the intricate details of the MYP Assessment procedure and the IB way of the teaching-learning process. The session included orientation on 'Celebration of learning' in the form of IDL (Interdisciplinary learning). IDL Session in MYP 1

   ‘Dead Men Do Tell Tales’.- William R. Maples Interdisciplinary education allows students to see different perspectives and work in groups with the synthesis of disciplines the ultimate goal. Choithram International took an initiative to celebrate IDL week by indulging in Interdisciplinary Teaching Learning activities. CI teachers decided to take teaching a step further by connecting their ongoing topics with other disciplines. This would help students to understand why they are learning a particular topic and how they can apply their knowledge gained in real life.  Ongoing topic ‘Skeletal System’ in MYP 1 Biology was connected with Forensics wherein students got to know that the skeleton speaks a lot about the gender and age of the deceased and also the reason of the death of a person. Achievements of MYP Learners in Silver Zone Olympiads 2016-17

Achievements of students of Choithram International in Silver Zone Olympiads are worth our appreciation. The Silver Zone International Talent Hunt Olympiad was conducted on 12th January 2017. Achievers of this exam include the following students: Akshat Shahjade MYP 1 scored 95.17 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded with gold medal. Sarthak Rathi of MYP1 has secured school rank 2nd and received the Silver medal Venkat Suprabath Bitra from MYP 5 has scored 72.7 % and secured 1st rank. He was awarded with Gold medal. Silver Zone International French Olympiad was conducted on 15 Dec. 2016. Achievers of this exam are the following students: Akshat Shahjade of MYP 1 (class VI) scored 97.73 % and secured school rank 1st. He was awarded the Gold medal.
