Service by MYP 2
SPREADING SMILES
“Life is a process during which one initially gets less and less dependent, independent, and then more and more dependent.”

With a lot of enthusiasm, students of MYP 2 took initiative to serve an old age home in their own way as a part of their service programme.
This required a lot of planning and students enthusiastically chose to celebrate the birthday of members of old age home and entertain them with their dance, songs and hilarious poems.
Inmates of the old age home welcomed the kids and interacted with them; sang bhajans for them and even danced with the students.
Students felt satisfied with the time spent with the senior citizens who showered their blessings and love endlessly on them. Throughout the interaction with the inmates, the students exhibited Self-management skills and Caring learner profile.

Students returned with a lot to ponder on………….
These trembling hands no longer have the confidence it exuded a few years ago. Hope has been extinguished and uncertainty is what remains.”
