Hailing Nation and Education

Today’s assembly was presented by MYP 2B. It was based on Republic Day and World Education Day. The International Education Day was declared by the UN to be celebrated today i.e. January 24, 2019. The assembly commenced invoking the blessings of the almighty. The news headlines which was a follow up to the motivational thought, apprised all of the current events. The patriotic song filled the atmosphere with a sense of gratitude towards the mothe rland. The scintillating dance performance left everyone foot tapping. The presentation on International Day of Education left the audience pondering upon the basic need to enhance educational levels of one and all. Video depicting 10 targets for sustainable development filled the audience with wonder for the scope that education provides. Talent doesn’t need any introduction

Garry Kasparov has rightly quoted – “Chess helps you to concentrate and improve your logic. It teaches you to play by the rules and take the responsibility for your actions and how to solve problem in an uncertain environment.” Aashita Gupta of MYP 2 brought laurels to the school by securing 2 nd  position in women's category at India level in the All India open Fide Rating Rapid and Blitz Chess tournament held at J.J Public School, Khandwa Road, Indore, on January 19 and 20, 2019. Her perseverance and wit aided her to achieve such great heights.

Witty minds, witty moves

“Chess makes men wiser and clear-sighted.” – Vladimir Putin The above quote rightly explains the intensity of the game Chess which involves a lot of wit and mental skill to be played. It also improves one’s faculty to think and act accordingly. Wise moves, wise decisions are the traits of the game. Keeping the witty side forward, the students of Choithram International participated in an inter school Chess competition, held in Gujarati School, Indore from 10 th  to 12 th  of January, 2019. It was based on Swiss League pattern. Krishna Mandia secured third position in the competition in under 12 category and brought laurels to the school.

Training session of MUN

A training session of MUN was organised for the Choithram International students. The trainer is Chinmaya Prasanna from Worldview Global who has an immense experience in MUN debating and has won several accolades from Best delegate award to High Commendation in various MUN's across the country.The students enthusiastically discussed the UN-USA rules of procedure applied for the HMUN for debating in the MUN.The students were able to clarify all their doubts related to the Position papers as well.

Shining stars of the session 2018 -19

It is rightly said that ‘Great people do not do different things, they just do the things differently’ and so did the students of Choithram International, who endeavored to perform distinguishably in various competitions held. Every child is a store house of talents. The only need is to recognize them and perform distinctively. The academic session 2018 – 19 has been full of gems, showing their radiance and excellence in different fields. The first one to mention is the International English Olympiad (IEO), in which the students exhibited their flair in linguistic skills. The students performed exceptionally well and brought laurels to the school. Saarthak Garg (MYP 1), Deshnaa Kanthed (MYP 2), Shaaranya Garg (MYP 3) and Viveka Rachel Joshi (MYP 3) tried their best to achieve the highest levels and received Gold medals, Silver medal and Bronze medal respectively.
