Personification- A Day in the Life of Scientist

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." -                                                                                                          Benjamin Franklin

Thinking and acting like scientists not only supports a deep understanding of important “real-world” phenomena, it also helps students develop a self-concept as a capable learner. Keeping this fact in mind the students of MYP 1 B were given an opportunity to personify their favorite scientists in their virtual Sciences Class. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity as they got a chance to take on the identity of a scientist, to think, and even talk like one!

Students used their creative and critical thinking skills to design interesting presentations and share information with their peers about how the discoveries have helped humans in development. Students cherished this hands-on opportunity to learn with fun.
