Dance isn’t just an art form or an expression, but also the key to one’s overall well-being. In this age of online learning, students are inclined more towards dance as it is a great way to bond with their peers. Dance lessons allow the students to create routines and add a unique flair to their moves and self-expression.
As a part of their Curriculum Driven Service Project students of MYP 2-A attended a Guest Lecture imparted by Mr.Rakshit Yadav, Head of Arts Department on the topic -Role of Dance in Health and Well Being.
Learners gained more knowledge on the remarkable impact dance can have in their lives. In an intriguing session, students explored the benefits of dance therapy and how it helps individuals achieve emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. Students truly enjoyed and benefited from this informative wellness session.
Health Is the Result of Investing in Good Nutrition.
Having balanced nutrition is very important to keep the mind and body healthy. A school can play an important role in helping students establish healthy eating habits. Keeping this view in mind a Guest Talk was arranged for the students of MYP 2 highlighting the importance of balanced diet in building a strong immune system.
Dr Rashmi Joshi, renowned Dietitian and Director at Nutriyogam imparted her knowledge about balanced diet and application of science and technology in improving the nutritive value of food.
Students participated enthusiastically in the inquiry driven session. They gained valuable information about the topic which also connected well with their Science Curriculum. More such sessions will be conducted in collaboration with the Parent Community for the benefit of students.
