Intriguing Session on Drama Therapy

Art has the power to transform, to illuminate, to educate , inspire and motivate.

We at Choithram International believe that young minds should explore beyond the four walls, and performing arts is the apt medium for it.Using drama as a teaching aid in classrooms helps students learn to read critically, write cogently and think broadly. Keeping this view in mind a Guest Lecture was organized for the students of MYP 1 &  2 focusing on the role of Applied Theatre: in Promoting Health and Well Being.

An interactive session was conducted by the subject expert from the Arts Department, wherein students were given an insight into Drama Therapy and its benefits.Students also learned that drama at the school level helps them improve in a wide range of areas, such as self-confidence, self-esteem, self-expression, communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, aesthetic awareness, and, last but not least, imagination. For future storytellers, filmmakers and dramatists, this session was truly an enriching one.
