IDL Session-Creativity in Science
IDL Session-Creativity in Science
‘Creativity in Science could be described as the act of putting two and two together to make five.’ - Arthur Koestler
Celebration of learning continues. Another Interdisciplinary learning session in Sciences culminated on 3rd September 2021.
Creativity was brought into the science lesson by inviting the Art Expert of our School to share some ideas of ‘Reusing and Recycling’ household waste.
With context to the ongoing Topic ‘Our Environment’ MYP 1 students will be implementing the 4 R’s of waste management- Refuse, Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
To brief them about creative ways of Reusing and Recycling waste, an in-house guest lecture was conducted which turned out to be more vibrant and wonderful than expected.
Students also learned to make Ganesh Idols with the dough which they were suggested to make using clayey soil to have an environmentally friendly celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi.
This IDL will be further extended to achieve the goals of the Green school program(GSP).
