Service As Action- A Reflection by MYP 5

There is no greater purpose than service to others.-Nick Nolte

Service and action starts in the classroom and extends beyond. On the morning of September 23, 2021, the students of MYP 5 presented the culmination of their service as action activities.

The students worked collaboratively in three groups, each focusing on pertinent global issues and concerns. The presentation consisted of three small segments - Social Emotional Learning (self-management), unequal education rights, and saving our ocean and marine life. All the presentations inspired the audience to make a difference and work towards the betterment of themselves and the world.

The students of MYP 5 worked extremely hard to execute the service project, and every point delivered was full of insight and thought-provoking. Overall, it was great to start the morning off with an enlightening session, delivered by the senior-most class of MYP.

The service session enthused the young learners to embrace lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities.
