Guest Lecture on Yoga and Wellbeing


“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” -The Bhagavad Gita

Yoga adds peace and mindfulness to our lives and helps us overcome daily stress. Keeping this aspect in mind a guest lecture was organized under the aegis of  Vivaसृति wherein students of Choithram International participated along with students of five other schools of MYP South Asia Network of IB schools. 







Dr. Omanand Guruji, the guest speaker of the occasion enlightened the participants about the power of yoga and its role in improving the psychosocial and emotional quality of life.


Dr. Omanand a Yoga and Meditation Guru and former President of the Hindu University of America in the United States during his session encapsulated all aspects of the significance of Yoga and meditation. He taught simple ways of meditation that help in activating the electromagnetic circuit in the human body and also strengthen them. He even gave a valuable suggestion that we all should spare one minute every hour and detoxify our mind by utilizing 24 minutes in a day for meditation.


The session was very informative and will definitely help to lay the path of well-being for the community which is the mission of the Vivaसृति MYP Service as Action project.
