Guest Lecture by Mr. Rahul Joshi on Skills required for various service industry
Reflection by Yajvin Puetz of MYP 2A : We had a guest lecture by the general manager of Radisson, who thoroughly explained tangible and intangible resources, the difference between Software and Hardware, and what the service industry is all about, in terms of the perspective of a hotel. He spoke about skills required generally in the tertiary sector, and also certain skills required as a human being. He differentiated between honesty and integrity and their importance in our life. He also spoke about the difference between hearing something, and listening to something. He not only spoke about good communication and preventability but also also practically showed them. He explained the importance of how one thinks of himself, and why is it important to be presentable, not only to others but mainly also to ourselves.
